Welcome

I’m Ameet (Amit) Gadekar. I am a final year PhD student at Aalto University working under the guidance of Prof. Parinya Chalermsook and Prof. Chris Brzuska.

Previously, I completed my master’s from Computer Science and Automation, in the lush green campus of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, where I was fortunate to have Prof. Arnab Bhattacharyya as my adviser.

My research interest is in theoretical computer science, especially in Algorithms, Optimization, Complexity Theory and Foundations of Cryptography. My recent work focuses on designing approximation algorithms for clustering problems under fairness and diversity constraints. In general, I enjoy designing approximation algorithms and showing hardness of approximation for combinatorial problems.

Cheers !!
