I'm Ameet (Amit) Gadekar. I am a postdoctoral researcher hosted by Arnold Filtser at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. I earned my PhD at Aalto University co-advised by Prof. Parinya Chalermsook and Prof. Chris Brzuska. Long ago, I completed my master’s from the department of Computer Science and Automation, in the lush green campus of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, advised by Prof. Arnab Bhattacharyya.
I am broadly interested in theoretical computer science, especially in Algorithms, Combinatorial Optimization, Complexity Theory and Foundations of Cryptography. My recent work has focused on studying parameterized (in)approximations for general clustering problems such as clustering with general norm objectives as well as clustering with fairness, diversity and robustness constraints. In general, I enjoy designing approximation algorithms and showing hardness of approximation for combinatorial problems.
Cheers !!
